Following the footsteps of Fryderyk Chopin
|
Fryderyk Chopin the greatest Polish composer, piano virtuoso (1810-1849).
The most interesting sites in Warsaw (where Chopin lived in the years 1810-1830): - Chopin Museum ? in the picturesque Ostrogski Palace, - Holy Cross Church, with the urn containing Chopin?s heart, - Famous monument of the composer in the Royal Łazienki Park, - The Manor in Żelazowa Wola ? the composer?s birth place ? about 50 km from Warsaw. A former gentry manor, surrounded with a beautiful park, housing a small museum ? Chopin spent only the first seven months of his life there, but it is worth seeing. -Brochów ? a 16th-century church where Chopin?s parents were married (1806) and little Fryderyk was christened. |
